Power Cartridge Deck: Build a custom deck of Power Cartridges and bring it into every run. Cartridges are drawn on pet level-up to grant special abilities and stat boosts.
-
Deep Progression: Level up pets, unlock augment slots on equipment, and place ship placeables for crafting, training, research, and more. Every session feeds the same long-term goal of growing stronger and finding a way back.

Management and Strategy: Balance the ship’s fuel reserves against the pet’s hunger, stamina, and happiness. Navigate between planet regions using fuel refined from Vora Oil gathered during runs. Careful planning over long periods of play is rewarded.
Game backstory
Section titled “Game backstory”You wake on your spaceship with Omna, the onboard AI, and your family pet already aboard. You try to look at your body and realize you do not have one. You are the ship. Your consciousness lives here as a backup snapshot from before something terrible happened to your physical self.
Before that crisis, you gave Omna strict instructions. If something happened to you, load this snapshot, gather any loved ones who could be reached, and flee into deep space. Omna followed those orders. Your pet was the only living family member nearby, so Omna brought them aboard and escaped. You do not remember any of it because the snapshot was taken before Omna was fully configured.
Omna does not know what happened to your body. Something catastrophic may have triggered a dead man’s switch. You were unconscious for months until Omna woke you because the ship is out of fuel and your pet is out of food. You demand a course back to Vectopia. Omna refuses. There is not enough fuel for the trip, and neither the ship nor your pet would survive the return trip.
The ship now drifts in geosynchronous orbit over an unknown planet with a breathable atmosphere. Solar panels keep the lights on, but you need food for your pet and fuel for the ship. With no body of your own, you use a remote leash to see through your pet’s eyes and guide their movement. Omna picked up distress signals about a Vora infestation on the way here, so the surface may be dangerous. Your first task is to beam your pet to a planet zone, equip them to fight, and scavenge what you can from the Vora and the land.
Where is everyone else? Are any of them alive? You do not know yet. The Vora are a gelatinous species that spreads quickly between worlds and devours organic matter. Much of the galaxy may already be infested. Signals suggest you are not the only survivor. Find the Resistance, keep scavenging on new worlds, and search for answers about Vectopia, your family, and what happened to you.
Game mechanics
Section titled “Game mechanics”Vecpets (“Vector Pets”) is a roguelite survivor with deep buildcrafting and idle progression. Pets, ship placeables, and crafting support that loop. It is available on Android and iOS.
The player starts by customizing a pet and rolling its basic starting stats. The expectation is that the player will care for this pet over long time scales and manage its health, strength, happiness, and associated resources, similar to games like Tamagotchi or Neopets. Through the Incubation Module, a roster of up to ten pets can be grown over time on a living ship home base.
Resource acquisition is primarily done through exploration runs: real-time auto-shooter sessions inspired by games like Brotato and Vampire Survivors. The player selects a planet zone, customizes the pet’s equipment, and sends the pet down to fight swarming Vora, mine ore nodes, and discover rare artifacts. Runs end when the pet’s stamina runs out. Any planet zone can also be sent as an auto run, earning resources passively in the background while the player tends to other pets on the ship or steps away. The Vora Hive offers a separate challenge dimension for dense swarm fights and personal-best climbs. Planet bosses and harder regions mark the climb toward Vectopia.
As the campaign opens up, captains follow the Signal Log, take on missions, and join weekend Cleansing Raids to hunt Vora Primes and climb the ranks. Hands-on combat runs and idle offline earning sit side by side so every session feeds the same long-term war.
Resources from runs are used to meta-progress the pet through ship placeables: the Training Module raises individual stats over real time, the Research Module unlocks ship-wide upgrades, the Fabricator crafts new items from blueprints, and the Integration Module merges duplicate items into higher-level results. The ship itself can be expanded and rearranged to fit additional placeables.
The equipment system uses flex slots that can hold any gear, and each item can be rolled for randomized augments with rarity tiers. Players can lock desirable augments and reroll the rest, increasing build variety over time. The Power Cartridge deck adds another strategic layer: a curated pool of cards drawn randomly on level-up during runs to grant special abilities or stat boosts. A global pet leaderboard ranks pets by power. The Commerce Module sells items to the ship for bits, and the Marketplace lets players list and buy from each other’s storefronts.
Exploration spans multiple planet regions, each with increasing difficulty and richer loot. Moving between regions costs ship fuel, which is refined from Vora Oil dropped during runs via the Refinery Module or Fabricator. Balancing fuel against the pet’s needs and choosing which regions to prioritize are the core strategic decisions driving the mid and late game.
