Signal Log

The Signal Log is the ship’s receiver and transmission record. Soon after you wake, Omna isolates non-Vora interference from the planet’s noise. Confirmed transmissions stay in the log as records of the campaign.

While a transmission is still outstanding, a Signal Log pin on the ship top HUD opens the log. After every Planet 1 transmission is recorded, the pin stays so you can read the archive next to the Missions pin.

The log leads with one live signal in a highlighted panel, then a planet archive of confirmed records, newest first.

Opening the pin shows:

  • Active signal The current transmission, in a highlighted panel. Who it is from, why it matters, and one next step (investigate, recover, travel, or answer). When every recorded Planet 1 transmission is in the archive, the panel stays and says the next signal should be coming soon in an update.
  • Planet archive Confirmed records for this world, grouped by planet, newest first. Finished rows keep a green check and a short summary. Titles further out stay hidden until the receiver has a reason to know them.

Hands-on exploration recovers the story recordings. Each one shows as a Signal Encounter on the run summary, after ordinary loot, with what was found, why it matters, and what to do next. After the survivor message, unlock Region 2 through region milestones, then travel there from Control Center. The Resistance recording waits in Region 2. The Luminal Engine blueprints wait in Region 3.

When the Resistance message is recorded, Resistance missions unlock on a new ship pin. Rank and Reputation sit next to Comfort.

Relay Kestrel answers as part of a cross-species Resistance. First contact is solidarity against an interstellar Vora infestation. They know the path home to Vectopia, but this ship cannot jump planets yet. The next recording in Region 3 holds Luminal Engine blueprints. Gate Vora in Region 4 still holds a required engine part.
