Salvaging

Salvaging breaks down unwanted inventory items at the Fabricator and returns a portion of their crafting materials. It is a way to recover bits, ores, and other inputs from gear you no longer need.

Rules

• Unlock salvaging when your pet reaches the salvage unlock level shown in game (high-level gate).
• Salvage from main inventory only, not from ship storage layouts or equipped items.
• Yield scales with salvage yield research and the item’s blueprint costs. The UI previews what you will receive before you confirm.
• Only items that can be salvaged (items you originally crafted from a blueprint) appear in the Salvage tab.

Duplicate modules

• Crafting another training module, research module, or power cartridge module at the same level you already own triggers a warning. You cannot place duplicates, but salvaging can recover materials from extras.
