Power Cartridges
Power cartridges are special items you equip into decks before an exploration run. When your pet powers up during the run, you pick one cartridge from a random draft from your deck. That choice grants a temporary or run-long ability: extra damage, mining boosts, shields, and more.
Decks and unlock
Section titled “Decks and unlock”- Build one or more cart decks (named loadouts) and equip a deck on each pet before you launch.
- Cartridge features unlock when your active pet reaches the level required by the Power Cartridge Module blueprint (craft and place that ship placeable on your ship to engage with the system).
- Until then, power-ups during runs still grant baseline rewards (such as stamina) without cartridge picks.
During a run
Section titled “During a run”- Only exploration runs use decks, not auto runs or the Vora Hive.
- Unpicked options from a draft go back into the pool for later power-ups in the same run.
- Each cartridge you own is a unique item. Decks remember which cartridges you placed in each slot.
Meta progression
Section titled “Meta progression”- Find and craft cartridges like other items. Higher-level cartridges use special framed artwork.
- Synthesis and the Integration Module can upgrade or merge cartridges.
Synthesis outcome odds
Section titled “Synthesis outcome odds”On the Synthesis tab of the Power Cartridge Module you commit bits, iron chunks, and Vora cores. The preview table shows each possible output level and its chance % before you press Synthesize. The random roll happens only when you Complete Synthesis after the timer.
Putting in more than the recipe minimum always pushes chances toward higher levels. Each extra bit of material still helps, but each step helps a little less than the last. Odds never freeze while you keep adding resources.
Turning your commit into one score
Section titled “Turning your commit into one score”The game converts everything you put in into a single commitment score based on how many bits, iron chunks, and Vora cores you offered, each stack’s level, and how valuable that material is. Higher-level stacks count more than low-level stacks.
The recipe sets a minimum commit (today 1000 bits, 100 iron, and 100 cores, all treated as level 1 for that floor). Anything above that minimum is extra commitment. Extra commitment is what slides the odds toward higher output levels.
How levels get their chances
Section titled “How levels get their chances”Outputs can be levels 1 through 5 today. The game picks a sweet-spot level that moves upward as your extra commitment grows, but never jumps straight to level 5 from any finite offer.
For each possible level, the game builds a score that peaks near that sweet spot and falls off for levels far from it, then turns those scores into percentages that add up to 100%. The synthesis preview shows those percentages in each row. Level 1 always stays possible, and very high levels stay rare unless you commit heavily.
Which named cartridge you get
Section titled “Which named cartridge you get”After a level is chosen, the game picks a specific cartridge from the set you could receive at that level. Rarer cartridges are less likely than common ones (same idea as monolith and chest drops). Your pet’s level when you started synthesis sets which cartridges are allowed. The preview table shows levels only, not the exact name you will receive.
