Region and Zone Milestones

Each planet region has five zone slots (Zone 1 easiest through Zone 5 hardest). Completing milestones for a zone or for the whole region unlocks local power such as auto runs, better Bits and item rates in that place, and travel to the next region.

These milestones live on Explore and Control Center. They do not appear in the ship Milestones list. They are also separate from Resistance missions on the ship.

## Zone milestones
  • Open a zone in Explore and use the Milestones tab next to Info.
  • Progress is tracked for that slot in the current region (for example Region 1 · Zone 3), even when the exact map seed changes after a rescan.
  • Unlocking Start Auto Run for a zone requires surviving a set time on a manual exploration run in that slot. The timer milestone is the same for all five slots. Harder slots make the clock harder through tougher pressure, not a longer timer.
  • Other zone milestones (Bits, items, exp, combat) can advance from manual or auto finishes once auto is unlocked for that slot.
  • Zone rewards can raise Bits, item drop, exp drop, and Vora spawn rates in that slot only. Explore shows those bonuses on the matching rate lines when they apply.
  • Use Region milestones next to rescan on the Explore zone map. The list shows the current region only.
  • Non-final regions unlock travel to the next region after a duration peak in every zone slot and defeating that region’s apex Vora (Mega in Region 1, Titan in Region 2, Crystalline in Region 3). That travel milestone is listed last. The final region has mastery and economy milestones but no travel unlock.
  • Other region milestones include an artifact chest grant (non-final), unlocking auto-run in every slot (mastery → region-wide item drop bonus), and collecting Bits across slots (→ region-wide Bits bonus).
  • Region rate rewards apply to all five slots in that region.
  • Travel still costs fuel. Locked regions cannot be chosen as destinations.

Most milestone targets double with each region. Region 2 asks for twice as much as Region 1, Region 3 four times, and so on. Survival timers are the same in every region: harder regions make the clock harder through tougher pressure, not a longer timer. Rewards are the same in every region. Each milestone is labelled One time bonus or Permanent bonus in-game so it is clear whether the reward is a one-shot grant or an ongoing local bonus.

Per zone slot (current Region 1 targets):

Per region (current Region 1 targets):

MilestoneGoal in Region 1BonusReward
ChestFind 5 artifacts across the regionOne time10× Large Chest
MasteryUnlock auto run in all five zonesPermanent+10% item drop across the whole region
EconomyEarn 50,000 Bits across the regionPermanent+5% Bits across the whole region
TravelFinish a 10:00 run in every zone and defeat Mega VoraPermanentUnlock travel to the next region

Region 2 travel asks for Titan Vora instead of Mega. Region 3 asks for Crystalline Vora. The 10:00 breadth timer stays the same.

The final region has no Chest and no Travel milestone.

Every milestone row above also grants formulaic Gems on top of its listed reward: Region 1 pays 1 gem per milestone, Region 2 pays 2, and so on (region_index + 1). This is not authored per-milestone. It is derived from the region, the same formulaic pattern Milestones tier Gems use.

  • Regions appear as a vertical list of cards, with the ship’s current region first.
  • Unlocked destinations show Travel (N fuel). Locked destinations stay visible with Locked by Region N milestone, where N is the previous region.
  • Non-final regions show progress such as X/5 zones. The final region has no progress chip.
