Exploration Runs

Exploration runs are real-time planet sessions where you control a pet on the surface. You fight Vora, mine ore, collect loot, and finish when stamina runs out or you beam back. This is the main way to earn bits, experience, and materials during active play.

Planet zone combat with weapons and enemy swarms
  • Pick a planet zone in Explore, press Start, and choose which pet goes (skipped when you have only one).
  • Equip weapons, tools, and a Power Cartridge deck before you launch when cartridges are unlocked.
  • You control combat, movement, and pickups in real time during the run. Rewards are applied when you finish the run or beam back.
  • Only one exploration run can be in the world at a time (a group run is still one run), but other pets can run auto runs at the same time.

On a planet zone you can send several of your own pets on the same run. Start opens a list with a switch on each pet. Check the pets you want, and the pet you check first leads the run.

  • You control one pet. The others follow it, fight with their own weapons, and collect what they touch. They never activate monoliths, obelisks, or chests, so those choices stay yours.
  • Switch which pet you control at any time with the switch button in the top bar. Switching is free.
  • Every pet keeps its own stamina, level, experience, and cartridge drafts. A draft names the pet it is for.
  • A pet that runs out of stamina leaves the run. If it was the one you controlled, you pick which pet to control next. The run ends when every pet is out.
  • Beaming back ends the run for every pet at once.
  • More pets playing means more Vora and tougher Vora, so a group run is a stronger squad and not free extra loot. The pressure eases again as pets drop out.
  • The run summary opens on the totals for the whole group, with one tab per pet.

Group runs are for planet zones only. Vora Hive runs and auto runs use one pet.

  • Planet zones use the zone map, region fuel costs, artifacts, and normal loot tables.
  • Vora Hive is a separate manual challenge mode with fixed difficulty tiers (depth climb, no planet apex). Hive runs do not use auto run or the same zone flow as planets.
  • If you close the game mid-run, you can resume an in-progress exploration run when you return.
  • If a run was still active when you reconnect, the game recovers it automatically when possible.
