Status effects
Status effects are timed buffs and debuffs on your pet or on Vora during an exploration run. Each one has a name you can read on the run HUD (pet) or as a badge above a Vora health bar. They expire on their own, and they all clear when the run ends, when the pet dies, or when you escape.
They are not permanent equipment augments, research, or training. Those stay on the ship. Status effects only last while that run is going.
How long they last
Section titled “How long they last”Each catalog page lists a Duration. Most clocks are a fixed number of seconds from the moment the effect lands. Green salvage drop boosts last only while that Vora is inside a green field. Some tower grants stretch when Monolith Bonus Duration research is leveled. Every status still clears at run end, death, or escape.
Where they come from
Section titled “Where they come from”Items, towers, and weapons can grant them. Examples:
- The Absorbance Flask grants Absorbant.
- The Flamethrower can leave Vora Burned.
- Slow obelisks tag non-boss Vora with Slowed.
- Green obelisks grant drop boosts on Vora inside the salvage field.
- Lightning obelisks grant Chain Lightning on the pet.
- Stat-bonus monoliths grant a timed ×2 run-stat chip on the pet. Those chips use the same names as trainings (Defense, Strength, and the rest). They are documented on the monoliths page, not as their own status catalog entries.
